( Γηῶν ), a Grencized form (comp. Genesis 2:13, Sept. Γεῶν ) of the name GIHON (See Gihon) (q.v.), one of the rivers of Paradise, mentioned ( Sirach 24:27) along with the Jordan, Euphrates, etc., in a description of wisdom ("as Geon in the time of vintage," meaning apparently the Nile at its period of annual overflow.
