Eziongaber Or Eziongeber [1]

One of the encampments of the children of Israel, near the head of the gulf of Akaba. It was where Solomon had a navy of ships and where the ships of Jehoshaphat were broken.  Numbers 33:35,36;  Deuteronomy 2:8;  1 Kings 9:26;  1 Kings 22:48;  2 Chronicles 8:17;  2 Chronicles 20:36 . Probably the same as Ain el Ghudyan, now ten miles up the dry bed of the Arabah, the sea having receded.
