[many Esh'taulite] (Hebrews collect. with the art. ha-Eshtaili', הָאֶשְׁתָּאֻלַי , Sept. Οιε῾᾿Αθαωλαῖοι v.r. Ὑἱοὶ Ε᾿Σθαάμ ,Vulg. Esthaolitae, A.V. "the Eshtaulites"), the designation of the inhabitants of ESHTAOL (See Eshtaol) (q.v.), who, with the Zareathites, were at a later period among the families of Kirjath-jearim ( 1 Chronicles 2:53).
