( ῾Ησαϊ v Ας ,Vulg. Is'Aia, Isaias), the form in which the name of the prophet ISAIAH (See Isaiah) (q.v.) constantly appears in the A.V. of the Apocrypha ( Sirach 48:20;  Sirach 48:22;  2 Esdras 2:18). (See Esaias).
