(Hebrews collect. with the art. ha-Eri', הָעֵרַי , Sept. [appar. everywhere in this name reading ד for ר ] Οα῾᾿Δδί , Vulg. Heritae, A.V. "the Erites"), a patronymic designation ( Numbers 26:16) of the descendants of the Gadite ERI (See Eri) (q.v.).
