Edward Greswell [1]
an English ecclesiastical writer, was born at Manchester in 1797. He was educated at Oxford, where he became a fellow, and vice-president of Corpus Christi College. He devoted his life chiefly to theological literature. He died at Oxford, June 29, 1869. Among his more important publications are, Expositions of the Parables and other Parts of the Gospels (1834, 1835, 5 volumes): — Prolegomena ad Harmoniam Evangelicam: — Dissertations upon the Principles and Arrangement of a Harmony of Gospels (2d ed. 1837, 5 volumes): — Fasti Temporis Catholici (1852, 5 volumes).
