Edmund A. Ludwig [1]

a German Reformed minister, was born in Switzerland. He received a liberal education, and obtained the degree of doctor of philosophy from a European university. After coming to America he became professor of languages in Washington College, Lexington, Virginia. Subsequently he went North, engaging as editor and teacher for some years. In 1868 he was licensed to preach, but failing to secure a call, spent the remainder of his life at Erie, Pennsylvania, in teaching and as organist. He died in 1880.
