Ebenezer Bradford [1]
a Presbyterian minister, was born at Canterbury, Conn. He graduated at the College of New Jersey in 1773; was ordained by the Presbytery of New York in 1775; preached for three years in the churches of Chester and Succasunna; became pastor in Madison, N. J., in 1779; in Danbury, Conn., in 1781; and in Rowley, Mass., a few years afterwards, where he preached until his death, in 1801. In addition to his pastoral charge at Madison, he conducted a classical school. Mr. Bradford was a man of fine literary attainments and uncommon ability. See Tuttle, Hist. of the Presb.
