Earl Of Edward Law Ellenborough [1]

An English Conservative statesman, son of Baron Ellenborough, Lord Chief-Justice of England; entered Parliament in 1813; held office under the Duke of Wellington and Sir Robert Peel; appointed Governor-General of India; recalled in 1844; subsequently First Lord of the Admiralty and Indian Minister under Lord Derby (1790-1871).
