Eachard John [1]

an English divine, was born in Suffolk in 1636, and was admitted at Catharine Hall, Cambridge, in 1653. He became fellow of his college in 1658, and was chosen master in 1675. He died July 7, 1697. His Works were collected in 3 volumes, 12mo. (London 1784), containing a Sketch of his Life, a Discussion of Hobbes's State of Nature, and an Essay on The Grounds of the Contempt of the Clergy.
