Daniel Dow [1]
a Congregational minister, was born in Ashford, Connecticut, February 19, 1772. He graduated at Yale in 1793; entered the ministry May, 1795, and was installed pastor at Thompson, April 20, 1796, where he labored until his death, July 19, 1849. He was chosen fellow of Yale in 1824, and was made D.D. by Williams' College in 1840.
