(Concilsum Gentiliacense), held on Christmas day, A.D. 767. Six legates from Rome, six ambassadors from the emperor Constantine Copronymus, several Greek bishops, and most of the bishops of Gaul and Germany, were present, together with king Pepin and many of his nobles. The question of the procession of the Holy Spirit was discussed, with regard to the addition made by the Latins of the words "filioque" to the creed.
