Christopher Barfknecht [1]

a German theologian, was born in 1657. After studying at Konigsberg, he visited the other German universities, and went to perform pastoral functions at Coeslin, which he soon left on account of the dissensions in the civil council. In 1702 he went to Wittenberg, where he died, in 1739. He wrote, Der Schulredner (Berlin, 1686): Lippi Aurelii Brandolini Augustani Eremitce Oratio de Virtutibus Domini Nostri Christi (1708).
