Charles Fitz-Geffrey (Or Fitz-Geoffroi) [1]

Fitz-Geffrey (or Fitz-Geoffroi), Charles

an English clergyman, was born in Cornwall about 1575; educated at Broadgate-hall, Oxford; became rector of St. Dominic's, in his own county, and died in 1636. He was an excellent Latin poet. His publications are, Affanice sive Epigrammata, lib. 3, and Cenotaphia, lib. 1 (1601): a religious poem called the Blessed Birthday (1634, 1636). He also published some Sermons. See Chalmers, Biog.
