Cathua ( 1Es 5:30 ). One of the heads of families of Temple servants who returned with Zerubbabel from captivity. It appears to correspond to Giddel in   Ezra 2:47; cf.   Nehemiah 7:49 .

( Καθουά ), one of the family heads of the "servants of the Temple" (Nethinim) that returned from Babylon ( 1 Esdras 5:30); apparently the GIDDEL (See Giddel) (q.v.) of the Hebrews texts ( Ezra 2:47;  Nehemiah 7:49).
