Hastings' Dictionary of the Bible [1]
Carabasion ( 1Es 9:34 ). A corrupt name of one of those who put away their ‘strange’ wives. It seems to correspond to Meremoth in Ezra 10:36 .

kar - a - bā´zi - on ( Ῥαβασίων , Rhabası́ōn , Καραβασίων , Karabası́ōn ; Marimoth ): One of the sons of Baani (1 Esdras 9:34) who had married foreign wives, during the captivity. The name is allowed to be corrupt; it seems to be represented by Meremoth in the list of Ezra 10:36 .
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature [3]
( Καραβασίων . v. r. ῾Ραβασίων , Vulg. Marimoth), a name given ( 1 Esdras 9:34) as one of the "sons" of Maani (Bani) that divorced his Gentile wife after the exile, and apparently corresponding to the CHELLUH (See Chelluh) (q.v.) of the Hebrew text ( Ezra 10:35), although the list is here greatly corrupt.
