Hastings' Dictionary of the Bible [1]

Calitas . One of the Levites who undertook to repudiate his ‘strange wife,’   Esther 9:23  Esther 9:23 . He bore a second name, Colius . A Levite of the same name, and probably the same person, is mentioned in 1Es 9:48 as one of those who expounded the Law. See also Kelaiah.

International Standard Bible Encyclopedia [2]

kal´i - tas ( Καλιτάς , Kalitás , or Καλειταίς , Kaleitaı́s ): One of the Levites who put away their foreign wives at the request of Esdras (Ezra), 1 Esdras 9:23, "Colius, who was called Calitas." It is the Greek form of Hebrew Kelita (compare parallel passage,  Ezra 10:23 , elaiah, the same is Kelita"). He is also named with those who explained the law when read to the people by Esdras (1 Esdras 9:48; compare  Nehemiah 8:7 ). It is not certain whether he is to be identified with the Kelita of  Nehemiah 10:10 (one of the Levites who signed the covenant made by Nehemiah). The word probably means "dwarf."

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature [3]

( Καλιτάς and Καλίτας ), given as the name of one of the Levites who had taken foreign wives after the restoration from Babylon ( 1 Esdras 9:23,where he is also called COLIUS), and who assisted in expounding the law to the people ( 1 Esdras 9:48); evidently the KELITA (See Kelita) (q.v.) of the genuine texts ( Ezra 10:23;  Nehemiah 8:7).
