Son of Azel, a Benjamite, 1 Chronicles 8:38; 1 Chronicles 9:44 . The LXX render the word 'first-born' in both passages. An alteration in the Hebrew points would account for the difference.

bō´kē̇ - roo ( בּכרוּ , bōkherū ): A son of Azrikam, Saul's descendant ( 1 Chronicles 8:38 = 1 Chronicles 9:34 ). For the ending (וּ , ū ), compare the forms גּשׁמוּ , gashmū ( Nehemiah 6:1 , Nehemiah 6:6 ) and מליכוּ , melı̄khū ( Nehemiah 12:14 the King James Version and the Revised Version, margin).
