stands in the Auth. Vers. for the following words: לִהִב , La'Hab, a Flame, applied to the glittering point of a spear ( Job 39:23) or sword ( Nahum 3:3), and hence to the "blade" of a dagger, Judges 3:22; שַׁכְמָה , Shikmah', the " shoulder-blade," Job 31:22; Χόρτος , Grass as growing for provender, hence the tender " blade" of cereals, Matthew 13:26; Mark 4:28.
