(Heb. Beyth hash-Shimshi', הִשִּׁמְשִׁי בֵּית ; Sept. Ἐκ Βαιθσαμύς , Ὁ Βαιθσαμυσίτης ) , an inhabitant ( 1 Samuel 6:14; 1 Samuel 6:18) of the Beth- Shemesh (See Beth-Shemesh) (q.v.) in Judaea.
