principal of Hertford College, is the author of Solomon's Song, translated from the Hebrew (Oxford, 1785, 4to), in which his chief design has been to give as literal a rendering of the original as possible. Also, The Proverbs o ‘ Solomon, translated from the Hebrew, with Notes (Oxford, 1788, 4to) Ecclesiastes, a new translation from the original Hebrew (Oxford, 1791, 4to).
