Bath-shu'a. See Bathsheba .
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature [2]
a variation of the name of BATH-SHEBA (See Bath-Sheba) (q.v.), mother of Solomon, occurring only in 1 Chronicles 3:5. It is perhaps worth notice that Shua was a Canaanite name (comp. 1 Chronicles 2:3, and Genesis 38:2; Genesis 38:12, where "Bath-shua" is really the name of Judah's wife), while Bath-sheba's original husband was a Hittite.
