( Βάννος , Vulg. Bamis ) , a name of a Levite occurring in the lists of those who returned from captivity ( 1 Esdras 5:26); this, with the following name, answers to HODAVIAH (See Hodaviah) (q.v.) or Hodevah in the parallel lists of Ezra (2. 40) and Nehemiah (7. 43).
