(or rather Baal'samus, Βαάλσαμος ; comp. Belsamen in the art. BAAL-), the last named of those that stood at the right hand of Ezra while reading the law ( 1 Esdras 9:43); but the corresponding name in the true text ( Nehemiah 8:4) is MAASEIAH (See Maaseiah) (q.v.).
