The currency in the East being mainly in silver, large sums ready counted, and sealed with a known seal in a bag; passed current (compare  2 Kings 5:23;  2 Kings 12:10;  Luke 12:33;  Job 14:17, "my transgression is sealed up in a bag";  Deuteronomy 32:34;  Hosea 13:12, sealed securely for punishment).
