( Ἀσσαλιμώθ v. r. Σαλιμώθ ), son of Josaphias of the " sons" of Bania, who returned with 160 retainers from their exile ( 1 Esdras 8:36); evidently the SHELOMITH (See Shelomith) (q.v.) of the genuine text ( Ezra 8:10).
