Asriel (in AV [Note: Authorized Version.] of   1 Chronicles 7:14 Ashriel ). A Manassite (  Joshua 17:2 ,   Numbers 26:31; in the latter the patronymic Asrielite occurs).

( 1 Chronicles 7:14, where the name is improperly Anglicized "Ashriel"). B.C. post 1856. His descendants were called Asrielites (Heb. Asrieli, אִשְׁרִיאֵלִי ; Sept. Ε᾿Σριηλί , Numbers 27:31).
