Archives . The ‘house of the archives’ ( Ezra 6:1 RV [Note: Revised Version.]; AV [Note: Authorized Version.] ‘rolls’) was a part of the ‘treasure house’ ( Ezra 5:17 ) of the Persian kings at Babylon, in which important State documents were preserved.
