Anthony Palmer [1]

an English divine of some note, flourished near the middle of the 17th century. He was educated at Oxford, became fellow of Baliol College, and obtained the living of Bourton, Gloucestershire. In 1662 he was ejected for nonconformity. He afterwards had charge of a congregation in London. Palmer died in 1678. He wrote The Gospel New Creature, wherein the Work of the Spirit in awakening the Soul is plainly opened [on  Psalms 25:11, etc.]; to which is annexed, The Tempestuous Soul calmed by Jesus Christ [on  Matthew 8:23-27] (3d ed. Lond 1743, 8vo).
