Adolph A.S. Georgio [1]
a Piarist, was born in 1681, in Moravia. In 1695 he joined his order, was its general in 1724, and died as bishop of Raab, November 24, 1743. He wrote, עד אלו , i.e., teacher and witness (Frankfort, 1711; a work written in Hebrew for the conversion of the Jews, which he had formerly published in Latin at Vienna, 1709): — Die Psalmen Davids mit einer Erklarung und Phraseologie des Hebraischen Textes (Vienna, 1737).
