Abstinents
From BiblePortal Wikipedia
Charles Buck Theological Dictionary [1]
A set of heretics that appeared in France and Spain about the end of the third century. They are supposed to have borrowed part of their opinions from the Gnostics and Manichaeans, because they opposed marriage, condemned the use of flesh meat, and placed the Holy Ghost in the class of created beings.
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature [2]
a sect of heretics that appeared in France and Spain about the end of the third century, during the persecutions of Diocletian and Maximin. They condemned marriage and the use of flesh and wine, which they said were made not by God, but by the devil. (See Abstinence).
