JEWRY . This old form occurs frequently in the older versions, but rarely in AV [Note: Authorized Version.] . In Daniel 5:13 it stands for Judah  ; In Luke 23:5 , John 7:1 and occasionally in the Apocr. [Note: Apocrypha, Apocryphal.] for Judæa .
