John Van Bronkhorst [1]
a Dutch painter, was born at Utrecht in 1603, and studied under John Verburg. In the new church at Amsterdam, besides handsomely painting the windows, he executed three excellent pictures: The Triumph of David over Goliath; The Anointi n g of Saul; and Saul's Attempt to kill David .
