an Italian painter and engraver, was born at Bologna, and died about 1626, or according to others in 1643. He studied under Flaminio Tarri, and painted several pictures for the churches and public edifices at Bologna. The following are a few of his principal works: The Virgin Mary Seated with the Infant Jesus on her Lap:-A Bishop and Monk Kneeling :-The Holy Family:-and Christ Taken Down from the Cross.
