Free (Or Free-Will) Offering
( נְדָבָה , Nedabah', i.e., Voluntar, as often), spoken of a spontaneous Gift ( Exodus 35:29; Ezra 1:4; comp. 7), but chiefly of a Voluntary Sacrifice ( Leviticus 22:23; Ezra 3:5; Ezekiel 46:12; plur. 2 Chronicles 31:14; Leviticus 23:38; Amos 4:5; fig. Psalms 119:108), as opposed to one in consequence of a vow ( נֵדֶר ), or in expiation of some offense. (See Thank-Offering).
