Aurifex [1]

(or Aurificus, Ital. Buonigli), Nicholas an Italian theologian, was born at Sienna in 1529. He belonged to the order of Carmelites and distinguished himself as a preacher. In 1565 he taught theology in Florence, and' in 1578 he became dean: of the faculty, then provincial for all Tuscany. He died in 1601. Aurifex wrote, among other works,.
