He graduated from Union [[College]] in 1825; studied three winters (1825-28) in [[Princeton]] Theological Seminary, was licensed in 1828, and ordained pastor of the [[Church]] at [[Geneva]] in 1830. He edited the [[Christian]] Magazine at that place, afterwards settled at Hagerstown, Md. (1845), and Pittsburgh, [[Pennsylvania]] (1846).
