a French savant of the 16th century, was a native of Monistrol (Velay), and one of the main propagators of the Reformation in France. He organized in 1556 a Church at Meaux, but was compelled to leave it, and continued his work at Montpellier; afterwards he took refuge in Geneva and at Metz in 1576.
