Esh'col, The Valley of.' Or The Brook of Eshcol . A wady in the neighborhood of Hebron (Mamre), explored by the spies who were sent by Moses from Kadesh-barnea . Numbers 13:23-24; Deuteronomy 1:24. The name is still attached to a spring of fine water called Ain Eshkali , in a valley about two miles north of Hebron.
