Hastings' Dictionary of the Bible [1]

An old word of French origin used by AV [Note: Authorized Version.] to render the Heb. qÄ•râsîm , which occurs only in P [Note: Priestly Narrative.] ’s description of the Tabernacle ( Exodus 26:6; Exodus 26:11; Exodus 26:33; Exodus 35:11 etc.).
