His greatest work, The, Crucifixion, at Alkmaer, was destroyed by a mob in 1566. At [[Delft]] are two of the pictures of this artist, a Nativity and the [[Offering]] of the Wise Men; and at Amsterdam, in the [[Church]] of Our Lady, are three, viz. the Death of the [[Virgin]] Mary, a Nativity, and the [[Adoration]] of the Magi, all of which are reckoned excellent performances.
