<p> a Presbyteriarnminister, was born December 14, 1807. He pursued his literary studies at Western University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and graduated at Western Theological Seminary in 1836. His first pastorate was Slippery Rock and New Brighton; his next Beaver and New Brighton; but, after a few years, he left Beaver and confined his labors to Brighton. In 1876 he accepted a call to the [[Church]] of Greenville, Mercer County, but resigned in the spring of 1881.
