He studied in the preparatory department of the [[Bangor]] Theological Seminary, and in 1832 graduated from Yale [[Divinity]] School. In November of that year he was ordained pastor in East Hampton, remaining there five years. From 1837 to 1839 he was acting pastor in West Woodstock, four years acting pastor at Union, and from April 12, 1843, regular pastor until his death, March 26, 1880. See Cong.
