In 1604 he was appointed superintendent at Rostock; in 1605 was made doctor of divinity, and died Oct. 12,1638. He wrote, Disputationes contra Decreta Concilii Tridentini :-Tractatus de Lege :-Disputationes de SS. Trinitate, etc. He was also the author of a number of German hymns which are still in use in the German Church.
