Assaphioth (AV [Note: Authorized Version.] Azaphion ), 1Es 5:33 . His descendants returned with Zerubbabel among the sons of Solomon’s servants. Called Hassophereth ,   Ezra 2:55; Sophereth ,   Nehemiah 7:57 .

a -sā´fi -oth (Codex Alexandrinus, Ἀσαφφίωθ , Asaphphı́ōth  ; Codex Vaticanus, Ἀσσαφείωθ , Assapheı́ōth  ; the King James Version Azaphion ): The head of a family, which returned with Zerubbabel from captivity, called also the servants of Solomon (1 Esdras 5:33). Probably the same as Hassophereth of  Ezra 2:55 and Sophereth of   Nehemiah 7:57 .
