Morrish Bible Dictionary [1]

The time of rejoicing when the grapes were gathered. As there were different elevations in the land, the grapes would not be all ripe at the same time. In reference to the future time of blessing for Israel it is said, "Your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time."  Leviticus 26:5;  Judges 8:2;  Job 24:6;  Isaiah 24:13;  Isaiah 32:10;  Jeremiah 48:32;  Micah 7:1;  Zechariah 11:2 .
