a -sā´fi -oth (Codex Alexandrinus, Ἀσαφφίωθ , Asaphphı́ōth ; Codex Vaticanus, Ἀσσαφείωθ , Assapheı́ōth ; the King James Version Azaphion ): The head of a family, which returned with Zerubbabel from captivity, called also the servants of Solomon (1 Esdras 5:33). Probably the same as Hassophereth of Ezra 2:55 and Sophereth of Nehemiah 7:57 .
