A town of Benjamin, founded by Shamed or Shamer (1 Chronicles 8:12). Lydda in Acts 9:32-33; in the vale of Sharon between the hills and the Mediterranean. (See LYDDA.) Here Peter healed Aeneas of palsy. Now Ludd.
