(a strange rendering for Ε᾿λιάσεβος , Alex. MS. Ε᾿λιάσιβος, Vulg. Eliasib), one of the Levitical musicians who married a Gentile wife after the return from Babylon (1 Esdras 9:24); evidently the ELIASHIB (See Eliashib) (q.v.) of the Hebrews text (Ezra 10:24).
