Thomas Curtis [1]
a Baptist minister and educator, was born in England, and came to America about 1845, being then over fifty years of age. He preached for some time in Charleston, S.C., and eventually established a school for young ladies at Limestone Springs. He lost his life on a steamer that was burned on the Potomac in 1858.
